New Year’s Resolutions for Home Improvement, Part II

New Year’s Resolutions for Home Improvement, Part II

Hard to believe we’re already almost 2 months into 2023. Are you sticking to your resolutions so far? Most people abandon them by about 6 weeks… and if that’s you, it’s a great time to get back on track, or even make some new ones! We covered some great home improvement resolutions in our previous blog, but we’ve come up with a few more to inspire you to get your home in the best shape it’s ever been in. Let’s take a look!

Home Improvement Resolutions: This Year, I’ll…

Reinforce your commitment to improving your home in 2023 by saying, “this year I’ll…”

Improve My Living Space

Does your living space work for you? It’s easy to just live with the status quo, or complain about it a little bit without doing anything to fix it… but that’s not how we want to tackle the new year!

This year, commit to improving your living space. Want to spend more time in your backyard? Build a pergola! Want to get more use out of your deck? Enclose it and make it a screened-in porch or sunroom!

The options are endless, but as we said before… if you’re not living in your dream home, you don’t have to move… you can build it out of the home you currently live in!

Have More Guests Over

This isn’t for everyone, because some people just don’t want to have to host parties. However, for those of you that love entertaining, but rarely do, this is your chance to change that!

You’ll fall in love with your home all over again when you realize how versatile it can be. Your living room can turn into an entertainment room. Your kitchen can become the center of a party. Your sunroom can become a place where old friends catch up.

Open your home to your friends and family. You’ll be glad that you did!

DIY… And Know When to Not DIY

Part of improving yourself and your home is knowing your limits. Taking on a DIY project can be rewarding, but if you bite off more than you can chew, you can end up costing yourself quite a bit more money in the long run.

Thoroughly assess the scope and scale of your project and be sure that you’re up to it. If not, call in the pros!

Increase My Home’s Curb Appeal

Part of being excited to have folks over and loving your home again is curb appeal. How your home looks from the yard or street makes a big impression on both you and your guests. Here’s some things you can do to improve your curb appeal:

  • Replace or repair your home’s siding
  • Replace your home’s windows
  • Upgrade your front door
  • Add a sunroom!

We can help with all of these, by the way!

Resolve to Improve Your Home in 2023!
