Join us in celebrating our 40th anniversary! Since 1978, we’ve serviced the great folks throughout Central Virginia. Along the way, we’ve finished thousands of jobs, won many awards, and worked toward fulfilling our mission… which is improving lives while improving homes! Join us in reflecting on the last 40 years!
Lonestar Timeline:
1978: Frank Paul, after working for other contractors in Richmond for several years, realized he could do the job better, and help some folks along the way. He decided to start his own company with his wife, Susan. Lonestar was officially born (though, at the time, we were know as Lonestar Aluminum!) Why “Lonestar?” Well, while working for other contractors, Frank often found himself working alone due to unreliable and unmotivated helpers. He decided his company, like himself on those long days, would be the Lonestar in the contracting business in Richmond!
1981: Official incorporation date! After 3 years of hard work, Frank incorporated Lonestar Aluminum.
1986: Frank diversified Lonestar’s offerings, and so renamed the company Lonestar Construction Co. Offering full-home construction for a while, Lonestar built many houses throughout Richmond. However, after a few years Frank decided to re-focus our offerings back to our core services: Siding, Windows and other exterior home improvement services!
1999: Frank & Susan’s son, Greg, began working for the family company full-time while pursuing his criminal justice degree at VCU. Greg earned his degree, but decided to continue working in the family business rather than going into law enforcement. We’re thankful he did!
2008: Greg became part owner of Lonestar with his parents, and the company changed our name to reflect our primary services, and came up with our final name Lonestar Siding & Windows!
2018: Lonestar is one of Richmond’s premier providers of home exterior improvement services. On top of Siding and Windows, our award winning offerings now include railings, pergolas, gutters, sunrooms, and much more!
